hybris, a global leader in multichannel commerce solutions, announced today that it was voted Summit Thought Leader at last month’s Next Generation Retail Summit which took place in Lisbon, Portugal. Attended by 60 of the industry’s top names in retail including Adidas Group, eBay, Elizabeth Arden, McDonald's, Nike and Pepe Jeans Group, the Next Generation Retail Summit provides a number of different networking channels to execute and promote business. The delegation is comprised of the most respected executives in the European retail industry, and on the final day of the event the Summit invited delegates to cast their votes to determine the leaders amongst the 20 vendor companies which participated.

Elliott Lee, Summit Director, explained, “Our business model is built around the success of networking and focused interactive workshops with senior decision makers engaging in business meetings with solution providers who are specific to their business challenges and areas of future investment. As such, we feel it’s vital to garner feedback from our delegates as to the value they gained from those providers in order to ensure that we are maintaining our high standards. This was the first year that we introduced the awards with the categories being Summit Thought Leader, Leader of the Year and Achievement of the Year. The results show that hybris has made a lasting impact on a great number of our attendees.”

One such delegate was Andres Lopez, COO, Pepe Group, who said; “I found some software for e-commerce projects and hybris software very interesting.”

Further validating the market’s recognition of hybris’ leadership, the hybris multichannel suite, a multi-channel commerce solution won the Technology of the Year award in the 2011 E-Commerce Awards in France which rewards the best innovations in the field of e-commerce.

In addition, hybris’ customer, Toys ‘R’ Us was a runner-up for the coveted Multichannel Retailer of the Year Award run by Retail Systems magazine in the UK. The company was shortlisted for the success of its multichannel strategy, based on the hybris platform. This enabled the popular toy retailer to deploy three core features, bringing significant improvements to its online offer. The awards were announced at a ceremony in London this week.
