hybris to power new multichannel platform for Monsoon Accessorize

… leading fashion retailer selects hybris for international multichannel roll-out …

hybris, a global leader in multichannel commerce solutions, has today announced that the well-known international fashion brands, Monsoon and Accessorize, will be implementing a new multichannel platform integrating web, mobile, call centre and in-store applications based on the hybris Multichannel Suite. Within this, the hybris B2C Commerce solution, will underpin the roll-out of new international websites for the two interconnected brands, providing a central e-commerce solution that can support specific features such as a shared shopping basket to improve speed and ease of ordering and streamline the customer experience.

Monsoon was established in 1973 by Peter Simon, after being inspired by the beautiful hand crafted clothes he discovered in India. In 1984 Accessorize become an exciting accessories brand in its own right, selling jewellery, bags and accessories to the fashion conscious consumer. The brands have now grown and evolved into a multinational retail network, with 1362 Monsoon and Accessorize branches and a presence in over 68 countries, as well as a thriving online business.

The retailer plans to grow both brands’ business significantly online over the next five years, both in the UK and internationally and reviewed a range of platforms before selecting hybris through its long-term strategic partner, Portaltech, which will manage the integration of the new platform.

In addition to requiring a best of breed platform with proven international capability and multisite, multi-lingual management, Monsoon Accessorize was looking for support to integrate mobile web and application solutions and tight integration to its own back-end systems for multichannel fulfillment. Using hybris’ Multichannel Suite, the retailer will now be able to implement “click and collect”, “order in store – deliver to home”, loyalty card and gift voucher services across its international operation. In addition, working with the hybris solution allows Monsoon Accessorize to manage its product information efficiently through the Product Content Management facility and to trade both brands effectively with a single user experience through the hybris web content management (WCMS) and B2C Commerce.

Within the hybris Multichannel Suite, hybris B2C Commerce enables businesses to optimise every interaction with their customers on a global scale and integrates order processes from different channels.
