A product information management (PIM) system is a top priority for organizations managing customer-facing product strategies, as end users spend more time researching their purchases online. In fact, nearly a third of US online adults said that detailed product information would encourage them to buy from an ecommerce retailer they had never used before.
In its latest Wave report on PIM, global analyst firm Forrester Research has evaluated the leading vendors in the space and examined the role of product information management for increasingly customer-centric organizations.
The report names hybris as a leader in PIM, and describes the hybris PIM software solution, hybris PCM, as “unique in having a combined and tightly integrated PIM/ecommerce offering that is built on the same flexible Java architecture and data model”.
