Based on a Product Information Management (PIM) solution, the hybris system will enable Kendrion Electromagnetic Group to synchronise sales channels efficiently and reach customers worldwide.
Customers from the automotive and industrial drive technology industries will be able to use Kendrion’s new product information system to find the appropriate solenoid for their sector quickly and easily. The hybris solution enables Kendrion to present its vast product range not only online, but also in all its offline brochures and catalogues in a standardised format.
As part of the Dutch corporation Kendrion N.V., Kendrion Electromagnetic Group’s product portfolio includes a variety of solenoids including shiftlock, clamping, locking, spreading, controlling and vibrating solenoids as well as electromagnetic components for hydraulics, customer-specific applications and solenoid valves, in addition to electromechanical brakes and clutches for industrial drive technology.
To ensure that customers have no problems in finding the products they require from this immense range, the new online shop is equipped with user-friendly features such as fault tolerance, product ranking and various search functions. Customers can click their way efficiently through hierarchical categories such as voltage, frequency, duty cycle and power and quickly find products of a particular category or a specific offer.
Thanks to the hybris solution, Kendrion can now also manage multiple sales channels highly efficiently. The task of exporting product information, prices and customer-specific details into the required channels such as the online shop, catalogue and print is made easy. It also simplifies the task of managing the standardised brand presence over multiple channels. Further advantages offered by the hybris suite include the integrated Media Asset Management facility. This enables Kendrion Electromagnetic to store images and graphics in a central source and to use these converted for specific media in the web shop as well as in online and print catalogues. At the same time, user-friendly upload and download wizards simplify the task of working with all media formats.
