hybris is kicking off the Spring 08 season in a strong position: with 40 new customers investing in hybris in the last twelve months, the company is ideally placed to build on this success in 2008. Its expansion into Benelux with a new office in Amsterdam and the opening of a new office in Stockholm, Scandinavia represent a strong commitment to these markets.

Long-standing hybris customers in the retail industry include the supplier of sports and lifestyle products, Adidas, the mail order business, Neckermann, and the UK’s largest entertainment company, zavvi Entertainment Group (formerly Virgin Megastores). Leading industrial businesses include the domestic appliance manufacturer, VZug, the hearing instrument producer, Phonak, and the special chemicals supplier, SIKA.

“There are very few companies today that only market their products via a single sales channel. With our software, we help businesses sell and communicate with their customers across all channels in a consistent and personalized way to maximise revenue through process enhancement. Product Information Management (PIM) provides the basis with which all the channels, such as online shops, printed or electronic catalogues can be centrally fed with consistent information.”

Speaking about the highly positive developments in 2007, Ariel Lüdi, CEO of the hybris Group, said: “Our integrated software approach has made a big impact on the market. Across the globe, businesses have demonstrable faith in our solutions to help them master the complexities of implementing and managing singlesite, multisite and multichannel communication and distribution strategies.”

Over one hundred customers already manage a wide variety of sales channels with hybris. It helps companies to populate websites with complex, technical product data, preparing various country pages in different languages, tax rates, packaging prices and national currencies, for example. In addition to the preparation and provision of product information for E-Commerce and marketplaces, product information for print catalogues and CD-ROMs can also be provided with help of hybris software.

It is not only businesses marketing a wide product range or very technical products that profit from PIM-based, multichannel solutions. Global operating companies also benefit from enhanced product information management capabilities said Lüdi. “It enables employees to access the very latest data records at the same time and from absolutely anywhere in the world. With our approach, inconsistencies can be avoided and products can be launched to market more quickly across the world. These decisive competitive advantages are of utmost importance in a modern E-Commerce environment, providing a fast return on investment.”

In addition to its European expansion, hybris has also established partnerships with the CMS provider Mediasurface in England, Vignette in the USA, Dutch software manufacturer Fredhopper and WERK II in Germany.
